With the announcement of Focker In-Law&mdash;the fourth installment in the Meet the Parents franchise&mdash;it&rsquo;s no surprise the cast has sparked plenty of online chatter. Among the most talked-about names is Skyler Gisondo.
The actor made headlines after using a fan&rsquo;s harsh social media post to announce his role in the film. On August 12, 2025, Gisondo shared an Instagram carousel featuring the official casting announcement alongside a screenshot of a viral tweet. The post came after speculation that he would star opposite <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/ariana-grande-eternal-sunshine-deluxe-album-release-brighter-days" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ariana Grande</a> in the comedy sequel.
The tweet in question read, &ldquo;Why are directors afraid to put her with someone HOT?&rdquo;&mdash;a jab that quickly ignited a larger conversation about Gisondo&rsquo;s looks and career. In true comedic fashion, the actor embraced the moment, captioning his post: &ldquo;Proud to be a Focker. As you can see, initial fan reaction is looking very positive.&rdquo; Grande even liked the post, showing her support for her new co-star.

Skyler Gisondo was born on July 22, 1996, in Palm Beach County, Florida, to Stacey and Ron Gisondo, both ocean engineers. Of Jewish and Italian-American heritage, he spent his early years in Florida before relocating with his family to South Bay, Los Angeles.
Gisondo began acting at just six years old, after his mother sent his photos to talent agencies. The early start led to a few years of homeschooling to accommodate his budding career. He graduated from high school in 2014 and enrolled at the University of Southern California&rsquo;s film school the following year, though he later took a hiatus to film the Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet.
His family has remained a strong source of support throughout his career. Recently, Gisondo brought his parents courtside to a Los Angeles Lakers game, a moment he described as especially meaningful for them.

<h2>Skyler Gisondo's Dating History&nbsp;</h2>

While Gisando's love life isn't private, it isn't exactly public either. The actor was in a long-term relationship with Ari Haagen, which began in 2018, but it seems like the two have since broken up despite social media follows and posts of the two still remaining on Gisando's feeds. Currently, the actor is rumored to be dating Ella Rubin, an actress known for Fear Street: Prom Queen, a 2025 film.&nbsp;
Famously, Gisondo is known for having enlisted the help of Ben Stiller and Robin Williams to <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/general-news/how-robin-williams-helped-a-759778/">help him film a promposal</a> to formally ask his girlfriend to the prom for their senior year of high school. They filmed a three-minute-long comedy routine with a monkey while filming Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb. Gisondo and Stiller will be working together again on Focker In-Law soon.&nbsp;
