For the first time in history, LA-based fans will be able to see the music legend and fashion icon’s costumes outside of her Tennessee theme park, Dollywood. In this rare retrospective, the 2019 MusiCares Person of the Year is showing off her glitz and glitter at the GRAMMY Museum until March 17, 2019. The exhibit, Diamond in a Rhinestone World: The Costumes of Dolly Parton, spans decades of Dolly’s most iconic music video, live performance, and album cover outfits. Some stand-out pieces include the leopard-fuchsia dress from her “Backwoods Barbie” album cover and her “Live from London” turquoise stage costume. The eight-time GRAMMY winner had thousands of options to choose from, and with the help of her lifelong costume designer, her favorites are now on view.
