Alt-pop sibling trio Echosmith, widely known for their 2013 &quot;Cool Kids,&quot; have collaborated with Grammy-nominated producer Audien for a new track &ldquo;Favorite Sound.&rdquo; The song is an empowering anthem that speaks to the importance of owning your truth even when you feel negatively about yourself. The music video for &ldquo;Favorite Sound&rdquo; was directed by Drew Kirsch, who&rsquo;s directed music videos for Lil Yacthy, John Legend, and Gucci Mane, and sees lead vocalist Sydney Sierota in what seems to be a laundromat turned psychedelic rave. She dons a short black wig, reminiscent of the one Hilary Duff wore in her iconic music video for &ldquo;<a href="https://vimeo.com/73547618">With Love</a>,&rdquo; during her good girl gone bad phase.

On the video, Sierota says that it &ldquo;serves as a reminder that you need to consciously &lsquo;wash out&rsquo; the bad stuff, like anxiety, depression, sadness, and let it go.&rdquo; There are a lot of different ways to do that, but she goes on to say that for her, doing what she loves&mdash;playing with her band&mdash;has always been a great way of doing that. Producer Audien shares that he thinks the video &quot;is an escape from reality, and a really fun juxtaposition to the very true and dark truth of the song.
