Watch Audien and Echosmith's Latest Music Video for "Favorite Sound"
Alt-pop sibling trio Echosmith, widely known for their 2013 "Cool Kids," have collaborated with Grammy-nominated producer Audien for a new track “Favorite Sound.” The song is an empowering anthem that speaks to the importance of owning your truth even when you feel negatively about yourself. L’Officiel USA has the exclusive premiere of the track's music video, which you can check out below.
The music video for “Favorite Sound” was directed by Drew Kirsch, who’s directed music videos for Lil Yacthy, John Legend, and Gucci Mane, and sees lead vocalist Sydney Sierota in what seems to be a laundromat turned psychedelic rave. She dons a short black wig, reminiscent of the one Hilary Duff wore in her iconic music video for “With Love,” during her good girl gone bad phase.
On the video, Sierota says that it “serves as a reminder that you need to consciously ‘wash out’ the bad stuff, like anxiety, depression, sadness, and let it go.” There are a lot of different ways to do that, but she goes on to say that for her, doing what she loves—playing with her band—has always been a great way of doing that. Producer Audien shares that he thinks the video "is an escape from reality, and a really fun juxtaposition to the very true and dark truth of the song.
“Favorite Sound” is available on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon, and Tidal.
