<p>EXO is releasing an album within the first quarter of 2026, with six members&mdash;including fan favorite LAY&mdash;making a comeback.&nbsp;</p>

<p>K-pop group EXO has announced that their eighth full-length studio album will be released within the first few months of 2026. SM Entertainment had announced the album through the group's social media profiles, and EXO member LAY, after pursuing his solo career with a new single "easy<em>,"</em> had hinted at this reunion in a previous interview, encouraging fans to keep their eyes peeled for December, during which an offline event would take place in the EXO-VERSE. Six members&mdash;Suho, Chanyeol, D.O., Kai, Sehun, and Lay&mdash;are all confirmed to participate, while EXO members Chen, Baekyhun, and Xiumin were not named in any official statement. The latter members, also known as EXO-CBX, have pursued solo careers amidst contract disputes; Baekyhun released his album <em>Essence of Reverie&nbsp;</em>earlier this year, Chen released a new EP titled <em>Arcadia, </em>and Xiumin just dropped a new single titled&nbsp;<em>Overdrop</em></p>
<p>Following the group's seventh studio album <em>Exist</em> in 2023, EXO-CBX decided to take legal action against SM Entertainment due to a lack of transparency in earnings and unfair contracts. SM dismissed their claims, and the three members ultimately lost the suit. At least in writing, EXO-CBX is managed by SM Entertainment, and the three are able to pursue solo careers in their own right; however, they are not mentioned in any official EXO comeback materials.&nbsp;</p>

This album will reunite members who were previously occupied with completing their military service. All album-related promotions are set to roll out in December following the EXO-VERSE meeting.&nbsp;</p>
