For the pop culture fanatic, there's truly no better time of the year.&nbsp;
With an especially stacked pool of songs, records, and artists to draw from this year, the 2026 Grammy Awards are slated to be more exciting than ever. However, longtime followers of the ceremony should note that this year, the Recording Academy has added several new categories to the awards circuit: Best Album Cover and Best Traditional Country Album.&nbsp;
&ldquo;Each year during our Awards &amp; Nominations review, our focus is on refining our rules, uncovering anything that is no longer working, and ensuring we are celebrating our creative community in the most meaningful way,&rdquo; Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.grammy.com/news/2026-grammys-things-know-about-new-categories-changes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">told GRAMMY.com</a>&nbsp;in an interview.
This year, fans are speculating that Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, and Bad Bunny&mdash;all of whom released music that dominated pop culture in 2025&mdash;will win big at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Sabrina Carpenter, Justin Bieber, and Tyler, the Creator are also popular guesses for major award contenders online. Though Taylor Swift's&nbsp;The Life Of A Showgirl has dominated the charts&mdash;the album just surpassed two billion streams on Spotify, and has <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/music-records-taylor-swift-has-broken-net-worth-album-sales" target="_blank" rel="noopener">broken a considerable amount of additional music records</a>&mdash;since it dropped, the album's October release date puts it outside the range of 2026 Grammy award eligibility. Of course, considering the global smash-hit status of Huntr/x's songs, as heard in Netflix's&nbsp;KPop Demon Hunters,&nbsp;it's also likely the voices behind the tunes, Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, will snag an award or two.&nbsp;
