While most of the world has been devoid of live musical performances for almost a year, fans are in luck because two top female entertainers, Jennifer Lopez and Lady Gaga, will perform at President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris' swearing-in ceremony next week.

The Presidential Inaugural Committee announced the event's schedule on Thursday. After an invocation from Father Leo O’Donovan and the pledge of allegiance led by Fulton County, Georgia's president of the International Association of Firefighters Local 3920 Andrea Hall, Gaga, who campaigned for Biden during the election, will take the stage for the national anthem. Later, Amanda Gorman, the first-ever National Youth Poet Laureate, will give a poetry reading, followed by a musical performance from JLO and a benediction by Reverend Dr. Silvester Beaman, a pastor from Biden's hometown in Wilmington, Delaware.

The inauguration typically draws a sizable crowd, however, due to concerns over the coronavirus, as well as the recent attacks on the Capitol, there will not be an audience, nor will there be a motorcade parade following the ceremony. The inauguration will be available to stream on both Youtube and Twitch.

In the evening, after the ceremony, Tom Hanks will host a televised event called "Celebrating America" to cap off the big day. Demi Lovato and Jon Bon Jovi are set to perform, as well as Justin Timberlake and Ant Clemons who will debut their new song "Better Days." Like Gaga, Bon Jovi joined Biden on the campaign trail while stopping in Pennsylvania.
