The singer confirmed that her long-teased new album, Stove, will be released in January, marking a new chapter in her ever-evolving discography.
In a recent interview with <a href="https://www.wmagazine.com/culture/lana-del-rey-new-album-cover-interview-2025" target="_blank" rel="noopener">W Magazine</a>, Del Rey revealed that the project has been years in the making. &ldquo;They were more autobiographical than I thought, and that took more time,&rdquo; she explained of the songs that the album comprises. &ldquo;The majority of the album will have a country flair. Eight years ago, when I was looking to make a country record, no one else was thinking about country. Now everyone is going country! I&rsquo;ve asked myself, Should I retire all my snakeskin boots? Should I put my cowboy hats in storage?&rdquo;
<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/tags/lanadelrey" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Del Rey</a> began splitting her time in Nashville in 2023, working alongside Grammy-winning country producer Luke Laird while continuing her long-standing collaboration with <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/margaret-qualley-and-jack-antonoff-relationship-timeline-married" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jack Antonoff</a>, who has taken home the Grammy for Producer of the Year three times. Together, the trio has shaped Stove into what fans hope will finally be the country record she&rsquo;s hinted at for nearly a decade.
For followers of Del Rey, the announcement feels like the payoff to years of cryptic teases and abandoned album rumors. While the singer has never been afraid to flirt with Americana and Western influences, Stove promises to lean fully into the genre&rsquo;s storytelling tradition, making it one of her most anticipated releases yet.
