The beloved singer channeled a range of eclectic styles for her latest music video, "Tears," in support of her new album, Man's Best Friend.

Pop star <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/young-photos-of-sabrina-carpenter-disney-channel-new-album-controversy" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sabrina Carpenter</a> knows who her fans are, and she most certainly knows what they want, as evidenced by her latest music video, "Tears."&nbsp;
For the video, Carpenter went the way of iconic '70s horror-musical, The Rocky Horror Picture Show&mdash;co-starring none other than <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/colman-domingo-husband-raul-relationship-timeline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Colman Domingo</a>, dressed to the nines in drag, because as the&nbsp;Sing Sing&nbsp;actor wrote in an <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/DN7ZOdCjMV3/?img_index=1" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Instagram post</a>, "When Sabrina Carpenter calls, you play."&nbsp;
In a powder blue suit and oversized white brimmed hat, Carpenter evokes vintage feminine opulence &agrave; la <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/dior-fall-winter-2021-mizza-bricard-leopard" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dior's iconic New Look style</a>, as she stumbles out of a car wreck and into a nearby abandoned-looking house, leaving her on-screen boyfriend behind. As the star quickly discovers, the home is far from deserted, and she joins Domingo, clad in a cropped pinstriped suit, in a dance number. Twirling around, surrounded by the home's glamorous, campy cast of characters, Carpenter stuns in a silver-fringed look, complete with her new signature hairstyle&mdash;voluminous blond curls, prompting fan comparisons to stars ranging from <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/young-photos-of-madonna-age-birthday" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Madonna</a> to Lady Gaga.&nbsp;
And of course, it wouldn't be a Sabrina Carpenter music video without at least one man's death, so the end of the music video sees the pop star hurling a razor-sharp stiletto at her boyfriend's chest, because as she says, "You have to give the people what they want."

With&nbsp;Short 'n Sweet, Carpenter toyed with vintage-inspired country aesthetics, but in her latest album,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/sabrina-carpenter-mans-best-friend-tracklist-songs-release-date" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Man's Best Friend</a>, she wholly leans into them&mdash;that collaboration with <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/dolly-parton-super-bowl-halftime-show-turned-down-why" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dolly Parton</a> wasn't for nothing, it seems. Unapologetically fun, hot, witty, and catchy as ever, the album's sound ranges between full-on <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/lana-del-rey-new-country-album-stove-release-date" target="_blank" rel="noopener">country</a> twang, '80s synth pop, and slow, romantic ballads.&nbsp;
&ldquo;[Man's Best Friend] wasn&rsquo;t written from a place of &lsquo;How do I one-up myself?&rsquo; or &lsquo;How do I re-create something else?'&rdquo; she told&nbsp;<a href="https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-features/sabrina-carpenter-new-album-mans-best-friend-fame-1235359144/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rolling Stone</a>&nbsp;earlier this summer. &ldquo;It fed me, and it fed a lot of other people in the world. It felt true to me, and it felt authentic to a lot of other people. It&rsquo;s rare that those line up ever, let alone more than once. It unlocked my brain to know myself more and more,&rdquo; she said.&nbsp;
The album, released on Aug. 29, was highly anticipated&mdash;especially given the varying receptions that the album's cover generated when the pop star teased it online earlier this summer&mdash;but already, fans are eating it up, and have praised Carpenter online for her authenticity, vocal talent, and creativity, as exhibited in the "Tears" music video.
