Every year, sports fans tune into the Super Bowl to watch the season's two best football teams go head to head. However, one of the most anticipated parts of the show is the music-filled Halftime Show. As the football season gets underway, the NFL has finally unveiled the exciting 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show lineup fans of both music and sports couldn't be more excited.

In February, Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Kendrick Lamar will take the stage as this year's headliners. The NFL announced the news in an Instagram post, writing in the caption, "43 Grammys, 19 No. 1 Billboard albums, and 5 legendary artists on the biggest stage in Los Angeles for the #SBLVI #PepsiHalftime show."

The unprecedentedly talented group of performers follow The Weeknd's theatrical production earlier this year. The singer performed a medley of his biggest hits, concluding with a procession onto the field with a myriad of dancers in matching red suit jackets and face bandages, following the storyline of his most recent album After Hours.

In the weeks leading up to the event, many fans speculated on whether or not the singer would invite guest performers on stage with him as so many past Halftime Show artists have done in the past. However, due to the setup of the stage and the large scale of his planned performance, The Weeknd took on the job solo.
