Taylor Swift surprises fans with a new follow up album to 'Folklore' releasing at midnight.

Following the surprise release of&nbsp;Folklore,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/cozy-oversized-cardigans-shopping" target="_blank">Taylor Swift</a> announces a new unexpected album, titled&nbsp;Evermore, dropping at midnight December 10.&nbsp;

Sharing the news on social media, she <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CInkR4Ajyi1/" target="_blank">says</a>, &quot;I&rsquo;m elated to tell you that my 9th studio album, and Folklore&rsquo;s sister record, will be out tonight at midnight eastern. It&rsquo;s called Evermore. To put it plainly, we just couldn&rsquo;t stop writing songs. To try and put it more poetically, it feels like we were standing on the edge of the folklorian woods and had a choice: to turn and go back or to travel further into the forest of this music. We chose to wander deeper in. I&rsquo;ve never done this before. In the past I&rsquo;ve always treated albums as one-off eras and moved onto planning the next one after an album was released. There was something different with Folklore. In making it, I felt less like I was departing and more like I was returning. I loved the escapism I found in these imaginary/not imaginary tales. I loved the ways you welcomed the dreamscapes and tragedies and epic tales of love lost and found into your lives. So I just kept writing them.&quot;

The artist only gave fans a few hours notice before&nbsp;<a href="https://www.npr.org/2020/07/28/896193188/taylor-swift-folklore-critics-roundtable" target="_blank">Folklore</a>&nbsp;debuted earlier this summer, and while it was known that she was working on more music, there was no hint that a new album would be ready to release so soon. Along with the launch&nbsp;of Evermore, a new music video for &quot;Willow,&quot;&nbsp;the lead track on the album, will also drop at midnight.&nbsp;

For those that couldn&#39;t get enough of the folk-pop sound of Folklore, fans can expect the new sister album to deliver more of the same poetic music. The singer again collaborated with&nbsp;Jack Antonoff and The National&#39;s&nbsp;Aaron Dessner, and also gave a nod to Justin Vernon and WB, who was recently revealed to be <a href="https://www.cnn.com/2020/12/09/entertainment/taylor-swift-boyfriend-secret-quarantine/index.html" target="_blank">Swift&#39;s boyfriend, actor Joe Alwyn</a>.&nbsp;Swift also shared a glimpse at the tracklist of&nbsp;Evermore,&nbsp;which includes collaborations with Haim, The National, and Bon Iver.

Evermore&nbsp;is now available to <a href="https://store.taylorswift.com/products/evermore-album-digital-standard-edition" target="_blank">pre-order</a>.
