Troye Sivan and Charli XCX Party like It's 1999
Radio City Music Hall has always been an iconic spot for music, be it for the seasonal Rockettes performances or the Awards shows taped there. Last night, musical history was made once more (or so we’d argue) when Troye Sivan, there for his New York stop on the Bloom Tour, brought out Charli XCX to sing their latest single, "1999," together.
The song, heavy nostalgia with a dance beat overlay, definitely hyped up the crowd enough. As Billboard reports, Sivan called Charli one of his “pop icons,” citing her work as a major inspiration. “Playing a sold out Radio City Music Hall tonight and really can’t pinch myself hard enough,” Sivan later said on Instagram. “The bloom tour has felt like magic so far and it’s all thanks to all of you.”
