Why You Need to Care About Net Neutrality
Much like the collection it captures, Coach's Spring 2018 campaign is an ode to New York City — a place that has been of integral importance to the American heritage brand. The collection features illustrations by Keith Hering, an artist who has captured the city's beating heart for decades, each of which find a seamless home on the latest works of Coach creative director Stuart Vevers.
Mixing cheeky prints and strong outerwear, the designs of the collection play off the tension between masculine and feminine, tough and tender: a duality that is very much intertwined with New York City (in which living requires a little bit of both). The campaign features a diverse, eclectic gang of friends hanging out with a sunset skyline in the background.
“The further extension into ready-to-wear this season has been very much inspired by our Coach girl gang—the way that they wear, party and live in our clothes,” Vevers says of the collection. “I love that sort of undone, unprecious glamour and sensuality—it feels very true to the house.” And New York City, we might add.
The campaign itself was conceived of by Coach's longtime family of collaborators, including photographer Steven Meisel, stylist Karl Templer, and creative director Fabien Baron. Check out the images below, as well as a few behind the scenes moments captured at the shoot.
