While the world has its eyes on Paris for the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/fashion-brands-designing-2024-olympics-uniforms-paris">Summer Olympics</a>, tennis fans are intent on watching the 137th edition of The Championships. Among the mix of fans, many on-lookers can expect to see some famous faces over the next two weeks. Wimbledon, the internationally known tennis championships, is played annually at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in the Wimbledon district of London. The tournament is held in late June and early July and is one of the four annual &ldquo;Grand Slam&rdquo; tennis events, with the other three consisting of the Australian, French, and U.S. Opens.
The <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/young-kate-middleton-photos">Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton</a>, made a highly anticipated appearance this year. In the past, the 42-year-old royal has been responsible for presenting the Wimbledon championship winners with their trophies as a part of her duties as the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016. However, amidst her ongoing cancer treatments, the tournament organizers stated ahead of time that they would grant the Princess of Wales &ldquo;as much flexibility as possible,&rdquo; as All England Club chair Debbie Jevans told <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tennis/2024/06/27/wimbledon-princess-of-wales-present-trophies-singles-winner/">Telegraph Sport</a>. Seeing her back in public and attending the championship game was an exciting and unforgettable moment. As she joined the crowd on day 14 of the tournament for the men's final, roaring applause and a standing ovation accompanied her entrance.&nbsp;
Since 1922, each year, the Royal Box, situated in the prime-viewing spot at Centre Court, has been used for the enjoyment of friends and guests of Wimbledon. Many celebrities are returning faces each year, like David Beckham while newer celebrities and actors are inducted into the Wimbledon VIP world. It is a focal point of celebrity occurrences, like last year when <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/ariana-grande-dalton-gomez-divorce-separated-husband">Ariana Grande</a> was seen not wearing her wedding ring, and the A-list crowd consisting of Ian McKellen, Nick Jonas, Maggie Smith, Daniel Craig, Andrew Garfield, Stormzy, and the Prince and Princess of Wales at the men&rsquo;s singles finals. &nbsp;This year, there have been plenty of memorable celeb moments. From Princess Kate's triumphant return to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/margot-robbie-husband-tom-ackerly-relationship-timeline" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Margot Robbie</a> debuting her pregnancy style, Wimbledon 2024 is one for the history books.
