Young Photos of Channing Tatum

In honor of our favorite hunk, heartthrob, and, of course, male stripper, here are iconic archives photos of young Channing Tatum.

Channing Tatum wasn't always the movie star he is today. In fact, he never went to acting school or had ambitions of becoming an actor. Tatum worked as an exotic dancer in Tampa until he was discovered by a Miami modeling scout who took him under his wing (what later was the inspiration for the Magic Mike movies). Although a modeling career wasn't his long-term goal, Tatum walked several shows, including Sean John, Marc Ecko, and Phat Farm, during New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2003 and also modeled for Abercrombie & Fitch.

In 2005, Tatum starred in his first big-screen role in the drama Coach Carter and the Step Up franchise soon followed. On set of the dance drama, he met his future wife Jenna Dewan. The pair were married for 10 years and had a child together before they split in 2019. Both Tatum and Dewan have moved on to new relationships, but they still take pride in co-parenting their little girl. Two years ago, there was news that Tatum had started seeing actress Zoë Kravitz, and they are still going strong today.

It's fair to say that Tatum has paved his way through the film industry and has gained recognition for his various roles. The Vow, 21 Jump Street, and Magic Mike are just a few of the films that put him on the map—a mix of romance, drama, and comedy. In honor of his 43rd birthday, here are some of our favorite old photos of young Channing Tatum.
