The new David Bowie Centre at the V&amp;A East Storehouse delivers the kind of interstellar contact its namesake once imagined in &ldquo;Starman.&rdquo; Thanks to the V&amp;A&rsquo;s Order an Object program&mdash;a radical initiative reinventing the museum experience&mdash;you can book a private audience with such otherworldly Bowie treasures as his Thierry Mugler wedding tux, the Kansai Yamamoto one-legged catsuit of Ziggy Stardust, and the Freddie Burretti lightning-bolt jacket of Aladdin Sane. There&rsquo;s a whole universe of options: the London design institution now holds more than 90,000 of the pop pioneer&rsquo;s artifacts, from stage costumes and instruments to handwritten lyrics and self-portraits.
