Gwyneth Patrow Opens Up About How She Copes with Aging
At 49, Gwyneth Paltrow is looking to accept her body more as she ages.
While celebrities are often prime examples of beauty, even stars have their doubts. In a recent interview, actress Gwyneth Paltrow revealed that she is working to accept her body as the years pass and natural aging begins. "I want to show myself in a more loving way," she said to People.
Paltrow revealed that she is in a constant struggle with her image and despite posting a nude photo on her last birthday, she says she still criticizes herself harshly. Her new Netflix series Sex, Love & Goop is a great example of the self-acceptance process as five couples navigate their relationships from sexual intimacy to past traumas.
As a fan of wellness fundamentals, the actress has avoided drinking alcoholic beverages and bets on meditation and foods rich in nutrients. "For me, as I go through the aging process, I realize it's less about, 'Oh, I have this wrinkle, am I going to fix it or not?' and more, 'Do I feel vibrant?'" she explained.
Mother of Apple, 17, and Moses Martin, 15, from her previous relationship with Coldplay singer Chris Martin, currently, Paltrow is married to producer Brad Falchuk. "I would never want to go back to my 20s, or even my 30s. I know myself, I like myself and I am so grateful for the wisdom that comes with age," she concludes.
