What to Know About Gwyneth Paltrow's New Netflix Show 'Sex, Love & Goop'
Six couples in crisis try to overcome their marital problems in this new Netflix series.
Sex, Love & Goop with Gwyneth Paltrow landed on Netflix this week, declaring that she wants to break down stereotypes and taboos about sex. After the first failure with the docuseries Goop Lab, the Oscar-winning actress, without being discouraged, returns to the limelight with this new serial reality show, to discover sexual well-being.
Reality aims to improve the intimacy and sexual life of six couples of different ages, sexual orientation, and origin, getting involved to discover new paths towards mutual pleasure. In this journey, they will also be accompanied by some experts, already known to many Hollywood stars: a sexual bodyworker, an intimacy coach, and an erotic well-being expert.
The series will also be the ideal way to advertise the products of Goop, a beauty and wellness brand, as well as being the brand of the actress from which the name of the reality show also comes. Sex toys, body oils, and other objects for pleasure will be used to stimulate the imagination between couples and "eliminate the shame around female sexuality."
It is not yet known what to expect from what The Guardian has announced to be "The strangest sex show on the planet," but it is certain that the advice of Paltrow, which has ended up at the center of controversy several times for its "bizarre" solutions for the physical well-being and for the most dangerous and unfounded medical suggestions, no longer enjoys particular credibility. What we are sure of is that the actress seems really ready to get involved, to share her personal experiences, and to "get naked," motivating couples to do the same.
