Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are Instagram Official
It's official—Bennifer is back and better than ever!
After months of teasing fans with paparazzi shots and couples' vacations, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finally confirmed their reunited romance in the most public way possible—Instagram.
On Saturday, while celebrating her 52nd birthday, J.Lo shared a series of pictures on social media with the caption, "5 2 ... what it do ..." In the first three shots, Lopez showcases her stunning figure and modelesque talents in a bikini, printed robe, and a fedora while hanging out on a boat for her birthday celebration. However, the final photo of the carousel features Lopez and Affleck locking lips, signaling that just like most of the fashion and music from the 2000s, Bennifer is back.
The A-Listers dated and were briefly engaged from 2002 to 2004 after meeting on the set of their film Gigli. However, more than a decade later, the pair reunited back in April after the actress broke off her engagement to former MLB star Alex Rodriguez.
In May, paparazzi spotted Lopez visiting her former beau in Big Sky, Montana where he owns a vacation home. At the time, a source told The Daily Mail, "[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town. They have a strong connection. It's all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy."
Since then, there's been no shortage of photographic evidence that these two are back together. From vacation spottings to PDA in their hometown of Los Angeles, these two have not held back from spreading the love—except when it came to a public announcement.
Last week, in an appearance with Lin-Manuel Miranda on The Today Show to promote the re-release of her song “Love Make the World Go Round," J.Lo shot down interviewer Hoda Kotb's question about her love life.
“I just have to tell you that every time I see a picture of you and Ben, I’m like, ‘She looks happier. She looks happier.’ Are we happier?” asked the morning show anchor.
Lopez dodged the question completely, instead discussing why her song is so relevant today. “The song is out five years since we’ve done it,” she responded. “I believe that [the] message of loving one another and coming together in love is never more relevant than it is right now.”
“Wait, it’s me you’re talking to, you know that?” Kotb reminded.
“I know,” explained the singer. “You can call me. You have my number.”
