In the wake of news that Prince Andrew's royal titles will be stripped, many are left wondering where his immediate family stands&mdash;Eugenie, Beatrice, and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, aka Fergie.&nbsp;
Though Andrew relinquished his Duke of York title earlier in October, the royal palace has taken action to formally strip him of all titles.&nbsp;
"His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew," said the palace in a statement released on Oct. 30. "Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor."
"His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease, and he will move to alternative private accommodation. These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him," continued the palace.
The move from the palace comes after abuse and trafficking allegations against Andrew in connection with Jeffrey Epstein.&nbsp;
"Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse," the statement continued, alluding to <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/david-beckham-knighted-by-king-charles-pictures-ceremony" target="_blank" rel="noopener">King Charles</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/camilla-parker-bowles-young-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Queen Camilla</a>.&nbsp;
Andrew previously held the titles of Prince, Duke of York,&nbsp;Earl of Inverness, and Baron Killyleagh. Though Ferguson has used her royal title, Duchess of York, even after her divorce from Andrew in 1996, she will now be known only as Sarah Ferguson, following Andrew's loss of royal titles.&nbsp;
 Meanwhile, his daughters, Eugenie and Beatrice, will retain their titles as Princesses, per King George V&rsquo;s Letters Patent of 1917. Unlike their <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/kate-middleton-princess-charlotte-royal-family-christmas-party" target="_blank" rel="noopener">royal cousins</a>, Eugenie and Beatrice do not hold full-time working royal titles, so their Princess titles refer to their place in the royal succession.&nbsp;

After Andrew's arrest on Feb. 19, 2026, curiosity about the fate of Eugenie and Beatrice's royal titles continues to rise across the world.&nbsp;
King Charles III, eldest brother to Andrew, "learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office," said, via statement from the palace.&nbsp;
"What now follows is the full, fair, and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities. In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course," the king added, and said that he would not comment further on the investigation. He only assured the public that the royal family would "continue in our duty and service to you all."
Andrew was arrested by the Thames Valley Police on "suspicion of misconduct in public office," the force said via <a href="https://www.thamesvalley.police.uk/news/thames-valley/news/2026/february/16-02-25/thames-valley-police-open-investigation-into-misconduct-in-public-office/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">statement</a> on Feb. 19.&nbsp;
Despite his arrest, his two daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, are expected to retain their royal titles.&nbsp;
