Dua Lipa and her new beau Romain Gavras made their red-carpet debut at the Cannes Film Festival.

On Friday, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/dua-lipa-2023-met-gala-arrival-vintage-chanel" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Dua Lipa</a> presented to the world her new beau, Romain Gavras. The couple made their red carpet debut at the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/cannes-film-festival-2023-red-carpet-fashion-celebrities" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2023 Cannes Film Festival</a>, in attendance for the film Omar La Fraise (The King of Algiers).&nbsp;The singer stunned in a black cutout <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/celine-fall-winter-2023-collection-every-looks-photos-los-angeles" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Celine</a> dress, accessorized with dainty diamond drop earrings, strappy heels, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/70s-hair-trends-shag-bangs-comeback" target="_blank" rel="noopener">curtain bangs</a>. Gavras matched in a black suit and tie, keeping it traditional but still chic.

Now the ultimate question remains: Who is Gavras? The 41-year-old is a French director born in Paris, France. He's directed music videos such as M.I.A.'s "Born Free" (which won him a 2012 MTV Music Video Award) and various films including The World Is Yours and Athena &mdash;&nbsp;both of which were screened at previous <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/cannes-film-festival-best-red-carpet-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Cannes Film Festivals</a>.
Lipa and Gavras were first rumored to be romantically linked back in February, where they were spotted leaving a party together in London. <a href="https://www.eonline.com/amp/news/1366563/dua-lipa-holds-hands-with-filmmaker-romain-gavras-during-paris-outing" target="_blank" rel="noopener">According to E! Online</a>, the "Physical" singer and director were photographed a month later at <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/shopping/paris-fashion-week-street-style-looks-outfits-shopping" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Paris Fashion Week</a>, leaving the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/saint-laurent-fall-winter-2023-collection-runway-looks-photos" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Saint Laurent show</a> together.
Prior to Lipa, Gavras dated singer <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/at-home-quarantine-with-rita-ora" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Rita Ora</a> for six months, before splitting in March 2021 due to "difficulties with their respective work commitments," <a href="https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-9329531/Rita-Oras-boyfriend-confirms-couple-split-work-commitments.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">per Daily Mail</a>.

Beyond attending the 2023 Cannes Film Festival in support of Omar La Fraise (The King of Algiers),&nbsp;Lipa also makes an appearance in light of debuting her collaboration with <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/donatella-versace-fall-winter-2023-los-angeles-show-celebrities" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Donatella Versace</a>. Earlier this month, the renowned fashion designer announced she and Lipa co-designed a high summer collection titled "La Vacanza." 
The collaboration should come as no surprise, as the pop star has developed a close relationship with the luxury label, often donning <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/donatella-versace-and-her-bondage-dress" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Versace</a> on the red carpet and sitting front row at the runway shows.&nbsp;Lipa even made her runway debut walking for the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/versace-spring-summer-2022-runway-dua-lipa" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Versace Spring/Summer 2022 show</a>.
As this is <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/dua-lipa-best-style-moments-y2k-celebrity-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Lipa</a> and Gavras's first red carpet together, we may be able to expect a lot more of the couple in the coming months.&nbsp;
