Season 2 Recap
Season 2 left off with a whirlwind of events. Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) got trapped in the walk-in freezer during opening night, forcing him to re-examine his priorities. Without their head chef, sous chef Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) had to take over to keep the kitchen running. Cousin Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), a character we all grew to love in season 2, stepped up and employed all his new skills alongside Syd and the rest of the kitchen to make for a successful opening night. However, while the chaos of the kitchen ensued, Carmy regressed into his old self, deciding that pursuing a relationship with Claire was a mistake, which he explained to Tina while trapped in the walk-in. However, he was unaware that Claire overheard the entire conversation which ultimately led to the end of their relationship.
This Season
Now, The Bear returns after winning copious amounts of Emmy, SAG, and Golden Globe awards this past winter, and the third season will continue with the reopening of the new restaurant following “Friends and Family” night. From more celebrity guests such as John Cena and Oppenheimer’s Josh Hartnett to a whole slew of chef cameos, this season is being turned up a notch.
Yesterday was the long-awaited premiere of The Bear and the one thing more exciting than the premiere itself is what the stars wore to it. The stars swapped their chef aprons for designer fashion with Jeremy Allen White sporting Calvin Klein while Ayo Edebiri stunned in a white padded dress featuring floral embroidery, a strapless neckline, asymmetrical hem straight from Loewe’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection, and completed the look with white stiletto sandals.
The characters, the kitchen, the relationships, and nuanced, moving depictions of grief are what have fans coming back. Just as stressful and captivating as its first two seasons, The Bear will leave you calling friends “cousin” or saying “Yes, Chef” in conversations long after the season is over.
