In his first interview in almost six years, Zayn Malik goes on Call Her Daddy to address the alleged drama with Yolanda Hadid, as well as his experience co-parenting his daughter with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid.&nbsp;

After living a private life away from the public eye for almost six years, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/gigi-hadid-zayn-malik-relationship-timeline-dating-baby" title="The Complete Timeline of Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik's Relationship" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Zayn Malik</a> peeled back the curtain on fatherhood, his mental health, and even his fued with Yolanda Hadid in an episode of the&nbsp;Call Her Daddy podcast with host Alex Cooper.&nbsp;

After denying all harassment allegations from <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/zayn-malik-gigi-hadid-split-after-yolanda-hadid-accuses-him-of-striking-her" title="Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid Split After Yolanda Hadid Accuses Him of Striking Her" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yolanda Hadid</a> after the 2021 incident of Malik allegedly shoving Hadid's mother into a dresser, calling her a "a f&ndash;king Dutch slut" and telling her to "stay away from [my] f&ndash;king daughter," Malik addressed the drama during his interview with Cooper. "I knew what the situation was. I knew what happened, and the people involved knew what happened too," Malik said of the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/zayn-malik-pleads-no-contest-to-harassing-gigi-yolanda-hadid" title="Zayn Malik Pleads No Contest to Harassing Gigi and Yolanda Hadid" target="_blank" rel="noopener">2021 incident</a>. "And that&rsquo;s all I really cared about. &hellip; I believe you could respect that I just didn&rsquo;t want to bring attention to anything, I just wasn&rsquo;t trying to get into a negative back and forth with her [or] any sort of narrative online where my daughter was going to look back and read that."
Malik continued by discussing how the incident impacted his relationship with <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/gigi-hadid-zayn-malik-first-family-photo-baby-girl" title="Gigi Hadid Shares First Family Photo with Zayn Malik and Baby Girl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Khai</a>, with whom he shares custody with ex-girlfriend <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/gigi-hadid-family-wants-zayn-malik-to-go-to-rehab-yolanda-hadid-assault" title="Gigi Hadid's Family Wants Zayn Malik to Go to Rehab" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gigi Hadid</a>. "For me, my most valuable thing that I have in life in time. And that takes so much time, in a toxic environment, to explain yourself to people and justify this. I just kinda keep to myself," he said. "I&rsquo;m super full-on, hands-on with my child every chance I can be," he said. "If I could get 60 percent [custody], I would have it."&nbsp;

"I don&rsquo;t want to go into too much detail, but there was a lot of politics going on, certain people were doing certain things, certain people didn&rsquo;t want to sign contracts, so I knew something was happening so I just got ahead of the curve," he continues by saying he "knew for a minute" that the band was on the verge of falling apart.&nbsp;

Regarding his solo career, Zayn Mailk admits he "completely selfishly wanted to be the first person to make my own record," despite his reputation as a "passive dude." Malik also confessed there were "underlying issues" within the group, "We&rsquo;d been together every day for five years and we got sick of each other, to be completely honest." While he is now able to look back on his time with his bandmates in more of a "fond light," Zayn Malik admits that One Direction had run its course and it was time for him to move on.&nbsp;
