Performing at Dior's annual contemporary art museum soirée, the French pop artist's lively energy got the fashion crowd dancing along.

It may have been a very cold Wednesday, but the fashion world had a big reason to celebrate last night. Ahead of the Guggenheim International Gala, guests flocked to the contemporary art museum for <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion-week/dior-show-fashion-week-spring-2020">Dior</a>&#39;s annual pre-party, where they would find the&nbsp;iconic spiral ramp covered with shooting stars&nbsp;to f&ecirc;te the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed building&#39;s 60th anniversary and&nbsp;recent inscription on the UNESCO World Heritage List.&nbsp;As the night unfolded, the likes of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/maggie-rogers-heard-it-in-a-past-life-2019">Maggie Rogers</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/sophia-lillis-dior-interview-2019">Sophia Lillis</a>, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/thom-browne-parker-kit-hill-2019">Parker Kit Hill</a> arrived for a night of music and mingling.

Christine and the Queens provided the night&#39;s special performance, and the self-described &quot;freak pop&quot; artist&#39;s energy proved why she has become a favorite in the music world. Wearing an all-black ensemble that comprised tailored pants, sneakers, a sheer top, and a logo-covered bra, the talent performed hits like &quot;Comme si&quot; and &quot;Doesn&#39;t matter&quot; while executing complex choreography alongside a team of dancers. The French musician&#39;s energy was tangible&mdash;she danced just as hard as those around her while belting out her songs, and the experience of the live performance got busy fashion people dancing well before Chris actually asked them to in her final song.

Feeling the post-performance high, Chris also stuck around to dance to a DJ set by Caroline Polachek, which featured songs like Azealia Banks&#39; &quot;212,&quot; an unapologetically badass track that re-energized the crowd in full force&mdash;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/maria-grazia-chiuri-christian-dior-haute-couture-fall-2018">Maria Grazia Chiuri</a>&nbsp;was spotted jamming out in a circle with friends. In addition to their contagious energy, the musician and the Dior creative director matched in style, as both wore chic suits that subtly glistened&nbsp;in the ever-changing lighting. Undeniably French and unapologetically herself, it&#39;s no wonder Christine and the Queens has become a favorite of the fashion house in MGC&#39;s era.

Other than dancing, the crowd also enjoyed late-night access to some of the Guggenheim&#39;s exhibits, as well as plenty of photo ops. In one corner, guests could create a short video by posing inside a miniature replica of the museum, but as is requisite in such an aesthetic space, people were also documenting their looks and the lighting pretty much everywhere else. Thanks to Christine and the Queens&#39; performance and the breathtaking projections, the event&nbsp;was a fitting way to celebrate during prime gala season and a reminder that Chiuri knows how to throw a good <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/categories/save-the-date">party</a>.
