<div class="page" title="Page 52" style="text-align: left;">Curated by Stefania Ricci and Judith Clark, <i>Silk</i> tells the story of Ferragamo's adventure into the production of printed accessories, which began in 1971 when <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/exclusive-salvatore-ferragamo-spring-summer-2021-hitchcock-campaign-paul-andrew-luca-guadagnino">Salvatore Ferragamo</a>'s own daughter, Fulvia, joined the fashion company. One of six children, she brought with her imagery that drew from her childhood spent at the Collegio della SS Annunziata del Poggio Imperiale&mdash;the the first female boarding school in Florence. There&nbsp;Pietro Leopoldo di Lorena had brought&nbsp; tempera colors, papers, fabric, watercolors, and ceramics from China, which enriched the young Fulvia, who began collecting incredible objects, fabrics, and stones herself that filled an infinite series of moodboards. From these, Ferragamo's graphics of the scarves were born: with jungles and fantastic savannas, landscapes with exotic, and imaginary flowers.
