Miami meets Coastal Italy at the luxury boutique hotel.

Coconut Grove, by contrast, has largely remained a peaceful respite&mdash;a lush oasis of high-end shops, restaurants, and residences. And there is plenty to see, from the <a href="https://www.archdaily.com/925596/arquitectonica-win-2019-american-prize-for-architecture" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Arquitectonica</a>-designed exterior which takes inspiration from the Stiltsville houses off the Florida cape, to the nautical, coastal Italian look of the six-story hotel&rsquo;s interiors, designed by <a href="https://www.architecturaldigest.com/story/inside-the-joyfully-over-the-top-british-country-retreat-of-designer-martin-brudnizki" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Martin Brudnizki</a>. &ldquo;This hotel is very much influenced by classical yacht design in its use of materiality and the shapes of the furniture,&rdquo; says Brudnizki. &ldquo;We wanted to capture the timeless charm of Italy&rsquo;s iconic <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/travel-living/maybourne-riviera-cote-dazur-hotel-resort" target="_blank" rel="noopener">coastal style</a>&hellip;We&rsquo;ve then added a layer of mid-century Italy, as Murano glass chandeliers hang above large-scale terrazzo floors. The combination of the shapes and materiality of the mid-century <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/celebrities-caught-canoodling-on-boats-harry-styles-olivia-wilde" target="_blank" rel="noopener">yacht-style</a> works perfectly with Miami, a city famous for its oceanfront and also one famous for its own modernist architectural style.&rdquo;

Views of Sailboat Bay and the coastline are best taken in from the hotel&rsquo;s rooftop, where you&rsquo;ll find a pool, private cabanas, and the always chic Bellini restaurant, a favorite among well-heeled Coconut Grove residents and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/travel-living/evolution-jet-set-style-vacation-audrey-hepburn-kylie-jenner-rihanna" target="_blank" rel="noopener">international travelers</a> alike. After a long day on the beach or shopping in the Design District, a visit to the hotel's <a href="https://www.beatala.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BēAtala</a> wellness suite is a must. More a private treatment experience than full-on spa, BēAtala offers bespoke face and body treatments based on individual need. The spa&rsquo;s signature is a facial pioneered by renowned aesthetician <a href="https://www.thecut.com/2019/11/facialist-pietro-simone-uses-silk-thread-when-he-exfoliates.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Pietro Simone</a>, which includes a cotton thread that glides across the skin for next-level glow.

Off-property, a lively rooftop scene can also be found at MILA, the Mediterranean-Japanese fusion restaurant, lounge, and mixology bar by Riviera Dining Group. Since its opening in 2020, the &ldquo;MediterrAsian&rdquo; restaurant has become a staple of the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/art/best-fashion-parties-pop-ups-art-basel-miami-2021-louis-vuitton-saint-laurent" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Miami social scene</a>, offering a combination of refined dining and nightlife ambiance (complete with the occasional fire dancer). The hospitality group behind MILA recently announced Michelin-starred chef Michael Michaelidis as Head of Culinary, who will bring a reimagined menu with inspiration from his French and Greek roots.
