Art Basel Miami is almost here, which means connoisseurs of culture and aesthetics are getting ready to head to Florida for a spell of days, filled with galleries and glamorous parties. The modern and contemporary art fair opens on December 6 and runs through December 8 at the Miami Beach Convention Center. But it's so much more than just art. 

Since 2002, Art Basel Miami has been committed to pushing boundaries within the art world, drawing people from around the world to get a glimpse of the magic. Bridget Finn is leading the creative charge for the highly regarded art event this year, and she's gathering a renowned group of global galleries, artists, and collectors who demonstrate excellence in their work. Art Basel Miami 2024: Galleries, Installations, and Exhibitions

This year's Art Basel features art from 286 galleries in 38 countries, spotlighting galleries and artists from Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Canada, and, of course, the United States. This diverse array of artists and galleries will expand art knowledge and allow guests to see how people around the world view life and what perspectives they take away.

Hong Kong's Pearl Lam, Carmo Johnson Project, and Gordon Robichaux Gallery are among the many highlighted galleries at Art Basel this year. Artistic works from MAHKU and photographic work by the artist and activist Agosto Machado will be shown. Every inch of the event will be filled with extraordinary art pieces by talented artists who have something to say and deserve recognition.

Austin Lee: Psychomachia: Open December 3 through 9, Pscychomania explores psychology and emotion through a mix of mediums, including paintings, video, and sculpture. The exhibition, presented by Jeffrey Deitch, is inspired by Lee's visit to the Giotto Chapel in Italy and Aurelius Clemens Prudentius' poem of the same name. Loriel Beltrán's Constructive Arguments: Aesthetic Dialogues: Open December 2 through 22, Loriel Beltrán will be in conversation with other panelists discussing his latest work and his technique for fusing paint and sculptures that's famously known to defy transforming into a singular image. His visual artistry will be displayed in an exhibition presented by Lehmann Maupin. (Located at 1108 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, FL 331139.)

The Future Perfect: Debuting the biggest show to date, the exhibition presented by The Future Perfect features work from established and emerging artists alike. The artistic vision of 20 artists will be displayed, from traditional Indian metalwork by Vikram Goyal to the beautiful ceramic pieces by Bahamian artist Anina Majors. It encompasses everything Art Basel stands for. (Located at 40 Island Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139.)

Marina Abramović: Nomadic Journey and Spirit of Places: The exhibition, presented by fashion brand Massimo Dutti, explores legendary artist Marina Abramović's contributions to contemporary art and displays her work across four decades. "I believe that humans need to keep moving forward, and my own life was purely nomadic," the Serbian artist said, discussing her latest coffee table book, in a press release. The exhibition opens on December 5 through 8 in the Faena Hotel's Art Project Room. (Located at 3420 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33140.)

Loft Art Gallery: Co-founded by Yasmine Berrada, Loft Art Gallery will participate in Untitled Art Miami. marking the first time a Moroccan gallery participates in the fair. The gallery will exhibit multimedia artist Amina Agueznay's works from December 4 to 8. The exhibit brings Morrocan culture to largely American audiences through her rich tapestries. (Located at Ocean Drive and 12th Street, Miami Beach, Florida, Booth A6.)

Gagosian: Open from December 4 to 8, Gagosian will make its debut in the Meridians section of Art Basel Miami Beach, including an incredulous sculptural piece by Rachel Feinstein. The gallery will also feature contemporary pieces by artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, and Amoako Boafo in a separate booth, allowing guests to see works spanning time and type. Marianne Boesky: Marianna Boesky is returning to Art Basel this year, and the gallery is bringing an extraordinary artistic vision to Miami thanks to its lineup of talents. The gallery's booth will feature fresh pieces from Ghada Amer, Gina Beavers, Danielle Mckinney, Serge Alain Nitegeka, and more. (Located at 1901 Convention Center Dr. Miami Beach, FL 33139, Booth F12.)

David Nolan: Open December 6 to 8, David Nolan's booth most prominently features erotic works by international artists from around world. Pieces done on paper by William Copley, Carroll Dunham, George Grosz, and more will be on display. Among other works the gallery will display are paintings by Iraq-born artist Vian Sora, whose new works reflect on her experience "growing up under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein," per the gallery's press release. Art Basel Miami 2024: Parties, Pop-Ups, and Activations

Not only will attendees get to experience a walk-through of global creativity, but Miami Beach will also be buzzing with events that are just as intriguing as the art through various activationns. Guests will be able to immerse themselves in every aspect of the art world. Design Miami is an essential stop for home decor enthusiasts as it offers 20th and 21st-century collectible designs. Dates run from December 4 to 8. From chairs and tables to eccentric couches and other staple pieces, this event is one attendees don't want to miss. Guests will also have the opportunity to attend panels to hear artists and collectors discuss their experiences in the art world.

Cartier Trinity 100: The jeweler's pop-up held at its Miami Design District location invites attendees to explore its 100-year-old collection. The immersive experience involves a space dedicated to French writer Jean Cocteau and showcases some of Cartier's most prized pieces. Admission is complimentary and open to the public, from December 4 to 8. (Located at  23 NE 41st St, Miami, FL 33137.)

LVMH Culture House: The French luxury company introduces a five-day captivating artistic gallery experience opening from December 4 to 8 at the Paradise Plaza Event Space in the Miami Design District. The public will have access to artistic work from LO, Kandy Lopez, Glenneisha Darkins, and Yuki Ando, highlighting the work of marginalized communities. The company will also introduce two student artists to the Art Basel community. (Located at 151 NE 41st St, 3rd floor, Miami, FL 33137.)

Night Shift, AM Edition: Held on December 6, the American Express and Delta Air Lines pop-up invites attendees to complimentary food and beverages from Jon & Vinny's as well as early access at the Rubell Museum from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. while they wait for galleries and exhibits to open. (Located at 1100 NW 23rd Street, Miami, FL 33127.)

Wanderlust: The annual American Express and Marriott Bonvoy party will be held at W South Beach on December 7 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Celebrating 8 years of the festivities, card member holders can partake in the ultimate cultural experience with Superbueno, a restaurant that specializes in Mexican cuisine, the sculptural works of Jimena Montemayor, and South African music from DJ Uncle Waffles. (Located at 2201 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL, 33139.) 

Artist Talks: Billie Zangewa will join panelists Hans Ulrich Obrist, Azu Nwagbogu, and Thomas Girst at Soho House on December 5 to discuss her work renowned for challenging the societal oppression of Black women and examining intersectionality. She expresses her art through the use of raw silk, creating intricate patterns that reflect the universal experiences of black women. (Located at 4385 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33140.)

Hallucinarium: Psychedelic artists Alex & Allyson have designed a party experince, in collaboration with Elrow, that mirrors their intricate creations. The duo is helping throw Hallucinarium, a fête on December 8 at Factory Town Miami where guests will discover an evening experience that aims to transcend. The party series debuted in Ibiza and Chicago before making its way to Miami. (Located at 4800 NW 37th Ave, Miami, FL 33142.)

Pucci Party: Pucci is returning to the Art Basel in collaboration with Artistic Director Camille Miceli and throwing a party at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden on December 3 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The luxury house will bring a hint of Florence by offering guests a night of gelato stands, interactive games, and magicians, in addition to other surprises. Tribeca Festival: The Tribeca Festival is coming to Art Basel from December 4 to 7 with each night featuring a special event. Attendees can expect special appearances by Magdelena Bay, Makaya McCraven, Neggy Gemmy, Luedji Luna, and a live conversation headlined by Camilla Cabello.
