Creative Director Riccardo Tisci celebrates his mother and the power of feminine energy with Burberry's Fall/Winter 2021 collection dedicated to all women.

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/burberry-colorsxstudios-celebrate-emerging-musicians" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Burberry</a> Creative Director Riccardo Tisci presents the Fall/Winter 2021 <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/female-owned-streetwear-brands-misbhv-x-girl" target="_blank" rel="noopener">womenswear</a> collection in honor of all women, including his beloved and inspiring mother. "Throughout my life, my mother has been this incredible force of nature. As a single parent, she raised me and my eight sisters with unfaltering purpose and pride," said Tisci. "So, naturally, I have always been drawn to strong <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/politics-culture/famous-firsts-womens-history-month" target="_blank" rel="noopener">women</a> and, in turn, they have also given me the confidence to express my own femininity. They are not afraid to challenge expectations and I have always been in such awe of their determination. They are warriors."
A love letter to womanhood and the power of being female, Tisci's bold interpretation of the modern day woman for Burberry is one that breaks <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/high-fashion-designers-embrace-personal-style-tiktok-genz" target="_blank" rel="noopener">stereotypes</a> and rewrites the conventional narrative. Set within the home of the British <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/mens-fashion-trends-spring-summer-2021-runway-gucci-balenciaga" target="_blank" rel="noopener">fashion</a> house, at Burberry's flagship Regent Street store in London, the presentation opens with visionary rapper, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/dj-regard-troye-sivan-tate-mcrae-single-you" target="_blank" rel="noopener">DJ</a>, and singer <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/shygirl-alias-ep-bb-slime-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Shygirl</a> reciting an original spoken-word piece.
Continuing to take inspiration from the themes already laid out at the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/burberry-mens-fall-winter-2021" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Burberry Fall/Winter 2021</a> <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/dries-van-noten-fall-winter-2021-mens" target="_blank" rel="noopener">menswear</a> show, the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/prada-spring-2021-campaign-miuccia-prada-raf-simons" target="_blank" rel="noopener">collection</a> pays homage to the invincible force of Mother Nature as well as the British craft and the outdoor movements of the early 20th century. A nod to those who courageously ventured into nature in order to break the rules in their path towards a better future, the fluttering capes and flag references reflect Burberry's distinctive representation of the modern day woman with a twist.
