In Hermès' two previous Spring/Summer collections, Creative Director Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski had already been working on a silhouette that showed more of the body, with miniskirts and geometric necklines. Winter, on the other hand, is always more closed. No longer.

Her Fall/Winter 2022 collection presented this week in Paris brings a fresh and youthful air to the coldest season in an exercise of silhouette modernization within the brand's codes. A nod to younger customers, the mini skirts and shorts were worn with flat boots inspired by ballet shoes over thick socks, which helped elongate the silhouette. Also interesting were the overlays and construction joining leather and fine knitting on the skirts and the knitted shirts with different weights to form stripes. The overall result is a truly feminine look from a feminine point of view, showing off the body within the context of a classic brand like Hermès.
