After a weekend filled with rainy skies and unbearable heat, on Monday, guests were able to comfortably take in the breeze from the East River as the Michael Kors Spring/Summer 2024 show was unveiled at the scenic Domino Park in Brooklyn.

It was lace galore as the first model walked the floral-lined catwalk in a white lace, keyhole-cutout, maxi dress holding the new Julie Bag. Further interpretations of lace showed up on the runway, from the matching white crop top and tapered pants to the black, see-through lace midi dress, to the pink lace short-shorts paired with a knit nude-colored sweater.

Continuing the noticeable relaxed spirit of resort wear that was found in the Spring/Summer 2023 collection last year, there’s a sense of ease followed by a touch of streamlined romance found in both the shapes and textures, perfectly balanced with Kors’ signature tailoring.

Sheer dresses, billowing fabrics that sway with each step, breezy caftans, fluid goddess dresses — there was a relaxed feel to every garment like you were being transported on a summer getaway.

"This season, we’re taking everyone on holiday,” designer Michael Kors said per the show notes. "It's the transcendent joy of getting away, it’s the sweeping romance of a glamorous escape and it’s a jolt of sophisticated, chic optimism."

With many heritage brands slowly leaving the NYFW calendar every season, Michael Kors remains one of the few always to show up, with a star-studded front row to back up the anticipation and its reputation as an American legacy brand. A-list attendees included Blake Lively, Vanessa Hudgens, Ariana DeBose, Lisa Rinna, Halle Berry, Kelsea Ballerini, Jesse Williams, Tiffany Haddish, and Olivia Wilde.
