A true icon, Adriana Lima has been one of the biggest faces in fashion for over two decades.&nbsp;

Since the beginning of her modeling career in the 1990s, Lima has continuously taken the modeling and fashion industry by storm. The model got her start in her home country, Brazil, through her success in the Ford "Supermodel of Brazil" competition, and, from there, has become one of the most iconic models of the 21st century.&nbsp;

Lima was the longest-running Victoria’s Secret model, having worked for the brand from 1999 up to 2018. During her tenure, the model opened the Victoria’s Secret runway show a total of five times. 

Lima dated Lenny Kravitz from 2001 to 2003. The pair got engaged in 2002 but decided to call off their engagement about a year later. 

Lima’s April 2006 cover of GQ was the magazine’s best-selling issue of the entire year and is still one of the publication’s best-selling issues to date. 

In 2008, Lima starred in a Victoria’s Secret advertisement which debuted during the 2008 Super Bowl. This advertisement was reported to be the most watched advertisement of the entire game, with a jaw-dropping 103.9 million views.

In 2013, Lima modeled for the Pirelli calendar and made headlines as the first visibly pregnant woman to ever be featured in the calendar. 

Although she’s a supermodel, Lima is no stranger to acting. She’s appeared in films like “The Follow” alongside Mickey Rourke and “The Crazy Ones” with Robin Williams, as well as the hit TV show “How I Met Your Mother.”
