Anya Taylor-Joy Announced as New Dior Ambassador
The actress has become the new inspiration for the Parisian Maison.
Charlize Theron, Natalie Portman, Marion Cotillard, and Jennifer Lawrence have more in common than just being great actresses. All of them, over the years, have become part of the Dior family as faces of the brand. Now, it's actress Anya Taylor-Joy's turn to join the fashion house as an international ambassador for both its fashion and beauty collections.
At 25, Taylor-Joy has already shown that she has talent and that she deserves to be a world star. Her rise to fame came with her role as Thomasin in the film The Witch, written and directed by Robert Eggers. But recently she has managed to dazzle international viewers thanks to the Netflix miniseries, The Queen's Gambit, where the actress plays chess prodigy Beth Harmon. Her breakthrough performance as Beth has earned her a well-deserved Golden Globe for Best Actress, as well as a Critic's Choice Award, SAG Award, and an Emmy nomination.
During the 2021 Emmys, the actress wore a white silk slip dress that was combined with a muslin yellow cape, all signed by Dior. However, the actress always likes to work hand-in-hand with designer Maria Grazia Chiuri and get involved in the process of making her dresses. Perhaps that is why the French firm has now decided to make it the image of its brand. Only time will tell what this alliance will bring us.
