Born on <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/celebrities-christmas-day-birthdays-helena-christensen-justin-trudeau" target="_blank" rel="noopener">December 25</a>, 1968, in Copenhagen, Denmark, Helena Christensen has become one of the fashion world's top models. Serving as one of the original '90s super models, alongisde <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/naomi-campbell-best-90s-moments-young-model-runway" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Naomi Campbell</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/young-kate-moss-style-90s-to-today" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Kate Moss</a>, Christensen has fronted some of the biggest campaigns and walked down some of the most iconic runways.&nbsp;
Starting her career at age nine, Christensen modeled in minor gigs, but then went on to compete in Miss Denmark at 16. After winning Miss Denmark, Christensen competed in the Miss Universe pagent in 1988, and started to gain traction in the modelling world. It wasn't until the early 1990's that Christensen began to model for fashion magazines. During 1990, Christensen made her first apperance on the cover of British Vogue, and was starting her rise into supermodel stardom.&nbsp;
By 23, Christensen was a house hold name, and had become one of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/gianni-versace-fashion-signatures-designer-history-medusa-bondage" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Gianni Versace's</a> top choice models for his runway shows. Some of her most notable shows include the Versace Spring/Summer 1992 show, the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/iconic-90s-runway-drama-feuds" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Alexander McQueen Fall/Winter 1996 show</a>, and the Versace Spring/Summer 2017 tribute show to Gianni Versace.&nbsp;
Christensen can still be seen walking down runways from time to time, the latest being for Dolce and Gabbana in 2019. She recently made her return as a Victoria's Secret Angel as a model for its 2020 campaign. While she remains one of the best-known models fo the '90s, Christensen is more focused on photography, her New York City based boutique, Bric-a-brac, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/helena-christensen-pandora-mothers-day">motherhood</a>.&nbsp;
