Fashion creative and art enthusiast Nina Sarin Arias presents a picture-perfect combination of womenswear and photography at her Broome Street flagship.

New York City&rsquo;s SoHo neighborhood is a glamorous mix of galleries and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/dior-personal-shopping-experince-abcdior-pop-up-soho-new-york" target="_blank" rel="noopener">high-end stores</a>, but Arias New York&rsquo;s new exhibit proves you can have the best of both worlds on your shopping trip downtown. Founder and Creative Director Nina Sarin Arias opened the store for her eponymous womenswear brand this past summer, pushing through the challenges of expanding her business during the ongoing pandemic. Arias is outspoken about her love of the downtown New York art culture, and her shop&rsquo;s location at the corner of Broome and Greene Street places her at an ideal, and literal, crossroads of art and fashion design. The flagship is meticulously organized and color-coordinated, along with symmetrical decor. From the wall-to-wall clothing racks to a floor-to-ceiling column, the interior presents a pristine, well-lit gallery space as well as a luxurious spot to browse for new outfits. Inspired by contemporary art, Arias&rsquo; clothing aims to spark conversation with its flowing silhouettes and printed fabrics.

Enter James Welling, seasoned artist and longtime SoHo resident. After the two met last year, Arias was excited to collaborate with Welling and display his brand new photographs along with her spring/summer line. The best part? Welling&rsquo;s first exhibition in 1979 was just one block away from Arias&rsquo; Broome Street address. Since his first show, Welling has gained traction through his unique modifications of color in his work, notably his award-winning tonally inverted images titled New Abstractions. Welling has secured his niche in the art world with his colorful snapshots and sculpture photography, both of which are currently on display at the designer&rsquo;s shop. Additionally, two new photos from his celebrated series Choreograph are featured in the exhibit, exploring the movements of modern dance, double processed to reveal kaleidoscopic hues. Beginning in 2006, Welling has shown his work with David Zwirner, the famed art dealer who represents the likes of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/art/yayoi-kusama-exhibit-new-york-david-zwirner" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Yayoi Kusama</a> and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/art/the-work-of-felix-gonzalez-torres-revived-by-david-zwirner-gallery" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Felix Gonzalez-Torres</a>.
