This year, the public will have their say in which designer should win the LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers.

After receiving more than 1,900 submissions, 20 semi-finalists have been selected to move forward in the contest for this year's <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/tomo-koizumi-lvmh-prize-interview-pucci-mfw" target="_blank" rel="noopener">LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers</a>.<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;"> During these fraught times of limited traveling and health concerns, the fashion conglomerate will feature each of the creatives in contention and their collections online, offering a global platform for these designers to showcase their collections. As a result, fashion lovers of the world will now be allowed to join the competition's group of panelists and vote for their favorite designer.

Other rewards include the <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;"><a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/lvmh-prize-karl-lagerfeld-2019" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Karl Lagerfeld/Special Jury Prize</a> which offers another designer <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">&euro;<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">150,000 and a mentorship. Three 2020 or 2021 fashion-school graduates and their schools will also each be awarded a <span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">&euro;<span style="background-color: transparent; font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit; font-style: inherit; font-variant-ligatures: inherit; font-variant-caps: inherit; font-weight: inherit; letter-spacing: 0px;">10,000 grant and the opportunity to spend a year at the LVMH Group House's creative studio.

Each of the designers implemented a sustainable practice within the production of their collection to mirror the fashion industry's shift towards more responsible, eco-conscious clothing.
