Meet the Cast of the Book to Screen Adaptation, 'Red, White, and Royal Blue'

When the novel Red, White, and Royal Blue hit bookstands, it should come as no surprise that it became a best-selling book, garnering a massive fan base. Eventually reaching #BookTok, the novel became even more well-known, meaning when it was announced that there would be a screen adaption of the top-selling novel, fans were already setting a reminder on their calendars the minute the release date was revealed.
The plot follows the love story of the forbidden romance between Prince Henry and Alex Claremont-Diaz, son of the U.S. President. Finding themselves in the enemies-to-lovers trope, the two eventually find themselves drawn to each other at levels they never imagined themselves to be in. Nicholas Galitzine (Prince Henry)
Nicholas Galitzine plays the role of Prince Henry, one of the main love interests. The 28-year-old has taken part in quite a few successful films before taking on his role as the British monarch. He acted alongside Sofia Carson in the Netflix original Purple Hearts and starred in Amazon's adaptation of Cinderella (co-starred by Camila Cabello). He also has some upcoming projects in the works, including a supporting character in the new comedy Bottoms starring Kaia Gerber, Ayo Edebiri, and Rachel Sennott. He will also be in the highly-anticipated film The Idea of You (co-starring Anne Hathaway).
Taylor Zakhar Perez (Alex Claremont-Diaz)
The other main love interest, Taylor Zakhar Perez stars as Alex Claremont-Diaz, the son of the U.S. President. Other than Red, White, and Royal Blue, Zahkar Perez's other leading role was as Marco Peña in The Kissing Booth 2 and The Kissing Booth 3 (starring Jacob Elordi and Joey King). His acting debut was in 2012 when he landed a brief appearance on the hit show iCarly.
Uma Thurman (President Ellen Claremont)
Hollywood veteran Uma Thurman played President Ellen Claremont, the mother to Zakhar Perez's character, Alex. Throughout her career, Thurman has played titular roles in movies such as Pulp Fiction (1994), Batman and Robin (1997), Kill Bill: Volume 1 (2003) and Volume 2 (2004), and Nymphomaniac (2013). Thurman also is the mother of Levon Hawke and Stranger Things star Maya Hawke. Thurman and Maya are set to work alongside each other in the upcoming film The Kill Room.
Sarah Shahi (Zahra Bankston)
Zahra Bankston, President Claremont’s deputy chief of staff, is played by actress Sarah Shahi. If her face looks familiar, most fans will recognize her from her starring role in the Netflix series Sex/Life (2021–2023). She has also held roles in The L Word (2005–2009), Person of Interest (2013–2016), and the film Black Adam (2022).
Rachel Hilson (Nora Holleran)
Playing Nora Holleran, Alex's close friend and the granddaughter of the Vice President, is actor Rachel Hilson. She has previously held roles in the series Love, Victor, This Is Us, and HBO’s biopic series Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty. She is currently set to star in the upcoming thriller series Duster.
Ellie Bamber (Princess Beatrice)
Ellie Bamber plays Princess Beatrice, Prince Henry's sister. The British actor has appeared in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (2016), Nocturnal Animals (2016), The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018), and the Disney+ series Willow (2022). Up next, Bamber will star as Kate Moss in the biopic Moss & Freud, following the supermodel's relationship with English painter Lucian Freud.
