Stranger Things actress Sadie Sink is on a path to superstardom&mdash;and no one can stop her.

You've seen her as Max Mayfield in the hit Netflix show Stranger Things&nbsp;but <a href="https://lofficielusa.com/film-tv/sadie-sink-the-whale-stranger-things-taylor-swift-all-too-well-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sadie Sink</a>'s new role as Ellie in <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/09/04/movies/brendan-fraser-the-whale-venice-film-festival.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Whale</a> taps into a new side of cinema that the actress is taking on head first. The film, directed by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/men/jared-leto-interview-finneas-billie-eilish-morbius" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Darren Aronofsky</a>, stars Brendan Fraser as Charlie, an obese recluse seeking reconciliation with his estranged daughter (<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/sadie-sink-best-fashion-moments" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Sink</a>). "I had never read anything where the characters just felt so real and so human," explains the starlet. "It's kinda a dream project." That's a tall order for someone who, just last year, starred in the music video/short film <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/taylor-swift-releases-red-taylors-version-album-10-minute-all-too-well" target="_blank" rel="noopener">All Too Well</a>, directed by <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/every-taylor-swift-album-era-style" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Taylor Swift</a> (one of Sink's favorite artists), which received two <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/2023-grammy-award-nominations" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Grammy nominations</a> earlier this month.
