HBO Max subscribers can stream the new episode of "Euphoria" early to watch Rue spend the holidays with her family.

<a href="http://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/euphoria-season-2-zendaya-news-release-date-cast" target="_blank">Euphoria</a> fans have waited over a year to learn&nbsp;the fate of the beloved teen drug addict Rue (Emmy Award Winner <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/zendaya-most-glamorous-fashion-style-outfits-of-all-time" target="_blank">Zendaya</a>), however, HBO Max subscribers won&#39;t have to wait much longer. The show&#39;s newest&nbsp;episode, which premieres on December 6, will be available on the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/best-new-movies-tv-stream-netflix-hulu-hbo-december-2020" target="_blank">streaming</a> platform tomorrow, December 3 at&nbsp;12 a.m. EST/9 p.m. PST.&nbsp;

A <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/euphoria-season-2-zendaya-news-release-date-cast" target="_blank">second season</a> of the hit show was set to start filming in March of this year. However, just days before shooting, production was&nbsp;halted indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In October,&nbsp;it was reported, much to fans&#39; delight,&nbsp;that HBO had ordered two episodes to air between seasons one and two, to fill the space between seasons. Earlier this week, production released a short trailer for the first of these specials, titled &quot;Trouble Don&#39;t Last Always.&quot; The story&nbsp;will pick up after the season one finale, as Rue celebrates the holidays with her family.

Last summer, the breakout series gave viewers new faces (newcomers <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/euphoria-angus-cloud-loves-New-York" target="_blank">Angus Cloud</a>, <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/art/hunter-schafer-euphoria-sketchbook-art-2019" target="_blank">Hunter Schafer</a>, and <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/hbo-euphoria-nate-jacob-elordi-2019" target="_blank">Jacob Elordi</a> made names for themselves as rising stars), new music (British singer Labrinth composed the score and soundtrack for the series), and new beauty trends (the glittering <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/euphoria-beauty-makeup-looks-doniella-davy-2019" target="_blank">Euphoria eye</a> was everywhere from the <a href="http://www.lofficielusa.com/beauty/euphoria-makeup-celebrities" target="_blank">runway</a> to the club). Nothing short of a cultural moment, the long-awaited season two has much to live up to.

Viewers last saw Rue and her friends on the night of the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/maude-apatow-photography-euphoria-finale-2019" target="_blank">winter formal</a>. Rue asks Jules (Schafer)&nbsp;to runaway together, but after a change of heart, Jules leaves Rue at the station and boards the train alone. What follows is&nbsp;an electrifying dance number involving&nbsp;a gospel choir, a marching band, and a mountain of red hoodies that had everyone wondering: is Rue dead?
