Fans are speculating on social media about Ariana Grande's rumored special appearance during The Weeknd's Superbowl Halftime Show performance.

The rumor began on Twitter, but supporters of the &quot;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/ariana-grande-thank-u-next-2018" target="_blank">Thank U, Next</a>&quot; songstress are running with it in hopes that it could inspire a last minute duet between the two singers.

While no official confirmation has been made, there are several pieces of circumstantial evidence to support the theory.&nbsp;In 2014, the artists teamed up on the single &quot;Love Me Harder&quot; for the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. More recently, The Weeknd (born Abel Tesfaye) was featured on Grande&#39;s song &quot;Off the Table,&quot; which he co-wrote for her new album <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/music/ariana-grande-34-35-remix-doja-cat-megan-thee-stallion" target="_blank">Positions</a>.

Another reason many find this rumor plausible is the long-standing tradition of special guests at Superbowl Halftime Shows.
