Kanye West is Completing 'Donda' Album on an Apple Music Livestream
The artist is putting the final touches on his most recent album for all to see.
Ahead of Kanye West's Donda release on August 6, the artist launched a livestream on Apple Music of himself and collaborators putting the final touches on the hotly anticipated album. The livestream sees West at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia where the artist has reportedly been living while finishing the album.
Since the streaming service announced the livestream, onlookers have seen West doing pushups, lifting weights, and chatting with the likes of Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa. The audio of the livestream has been muted and West is seen wearing a black balaclava mask—an accessory he has sported throughout the promotion of Donda.
Though Donda was originally slated to release on July 23, West has since postponed the album until August. West premiered a portion of the album at a listening event in Atlanta on July 22, with the event's stream surpassing 3.3 million viewers. The July event gave insight into what to expect of the album—a reunion with Jay-Z and collaborations with Pop Smoke, Travis Scott, and more high-profile artists. Like West's previous event, there will be a livestream listening party on August 6 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium to celebrate the release of the album.
