Good news, Barbz! Nicki Minaj is back with a re-release of her mixtape Beam Me Up Scotty in honor of the original project's 12-year anniversary. The updated list of tracks now includes two new songs, "Fractions," a "Crocodile Teeth" remix with Skillibeng, and "Seeing Green" featuring fellow Young Money members Drake and Lil Wayne.

The mixtape, Minaj's third, was previously unavailable on streaming services, however, after its release in 2009, her track "I Get Crazy" ranked at #20 on the Billboard Hot Rap Songs. This success led to her discovery by Lil Wayne and landed her a deal with his record label Young Money Entertainment. Now, fans everywhere can hear all of the original songs as well as her more recent additions across streaming platforms.

On Monday, the rapper teased the project by returning to Instagram with a nude photo save for some Chanel jewelry and a pair of pink Crocs. On the night of the project's release, Minaj took to Instagram Live to share her thoughts on the release. She explained, "I knew if I just re-released the mixtape without putting anything new, I knew y'all would cuss me the fuck out."

The "Itty Bitty Piggy" rapper also elaborated on why she chose to release the mixtape now without doing a full album rollout of cover art and press. "This is ain’t no TikTok shit," said Minaj. "This is just to get back to the basics a little bit, to the essence of why I started rapping.”
