From her start in Swedish TV to her biggest musical inspirations, here are six fun facts to know about pop sensation Zara Larsson.&nbsp;

Born in Stockholm, Sweden, Zara Larsson has slowly but surely taken over the music industry with her tropical aesthetic and R&amp;B powerhouse vocals. The "Lush Life" singer centered her entire education around her art, studying primary school at the Royal Swedish Ballet School and studying secondary school at Kulturama, an art school in Stockholm. She always knew she was destined for greatness, getting her start as the winner of the second season of Swedish talent show Talang in 2008 when she was just ten years old.&nbsp;
After ranking for years in the Swedish charts, Larsson broke through and made herself known in the United States when her song "Symphony" went viral on TikTok as the backing track to the iconic dolphin meme&mdash;you definitely know the one. She then adopted the vibrant dolphin aesthetic, and before we knew it, she is now the queen of summer with her chart topper "Midnight Sun".&nbsp;

Larsson's younger sister, Hanna Larsson (often credited as Hanna Christina) was born in 2000 and shares her older sister's interest in music.
She previously formed part of a musical duo called "Hanna and Andrea" and is now a member of the band "Lennix". When she was younger, Hanna starred in the "Midnight Sun" singer's music video for her 2023 song "On My Love," which was inspired by their close relationship.&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">She is a Talang winner, aka the Swedish version of Got Talent.</h2>

When she was ten years old, Larsson won the second season of Talang,&nbsp;the Swedish version of the British&nbsp;Got Talent&nbsp;format. She sang Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On", which she later released as her first single. The cover charted at the official Swedish Singles Chart for six consecutive weeks, peaking at number seven. Later, she participated in other Swedish programs dealing with the tough climb towards international fame before travelling to Los Angeles to pitch herself to the studios there with no success.&nbsp;

<h2 style="text-align: center;">She cites Beyonc&eacute; as an inspiration for both her music and activism.</h2>

Based on her killer vocals, it's no surprise Larsson cites Beyonc&eacute; as a musical inspiration, having grown up with Dangerously In Love&nbsp;and&nbsp;B'Day&nbsp;on repeat. In 2016, she opened for Beyonc&eacute;'s&nbsp;Formation Tour&nbsp;with aspirations of reaching the "Single Ladies" singer's level of fame and vocal talent.
Larsson is also extremely inspired by Beyonc&eacute;'s outspokenness about social issues and aspires to have a platform with which she can do the same, explaining to <a href="https://www.harpersbazaar.com/culture/art-books-music/videos/a19084/zara-larsson-sings-beyonce/">Harper's Bazaar</a>: "She's almost an activist. She's very smart and clever, and she seems so humble and sweet and hard working, and that is really an inspiration to me. She is giving it her all, she's got the whole package... I absolutely think it should be mainstream to be a feminist, it should be a no-brainer to speak up about stuff and have a voice."

In 2015, she had her own broadcast on <a href="https://www.sverigesradio.se/avsnitt/zara-larsson-2015">Sverige Radio</a>, along with several other celebrities. She was 17 at the time, making her the youngest speaker on the program at the time. In the show, she discusses her life in Sweden, her views on feminism, and her music.&nbsp;

On Oct. 15, 2025, Larsson launched her own clothing brand: Main Rose. The brand comprises bras, underwear, and body-hugging clothing items, stemming from Larsson's interest in dressing comfortably with style.
Larsson launched the brand with business partner and friend Ben Eliass, with an interest in sexual wellness and pleasure in mind. As she comments to <a href="https://www.voguescandinavia.com/articles/zara-larsson-intimates-brand-main-rose">Vogue Scandinavia</a>: &ldquo;Everybody wears underwear... It&rsquo;s the first layer you put on, and if that just feels a little bit more elevated and fun &ndash; at least for me&mdash;it makes me want to put on a good outfit, brush my hair, and go outside and be nice to people. It sets the tone in a really nice way.&rdquo;
