After Missing the Met Gala and Fashion Month, Where Has Bella Hadid Been?

Her absence from the Met Gala and Fashion Week fueled rumors that she has not been vaccinated. But the truth is, she is busy with a new project of her very own.

According to 2021 Met Gala and recent fashion show regulations, participants must have at least one shot of the vaccine to ensure safety. Meanwhile, Bella Hadid's absence from these big events—where she is often the center of attention—fueled rumors that the model has not been vaccinated, or worse, is an anti-vaxxer. People were even more suspicious when they discovered that her younger brother Anwar said he would not be vaccinated last December, though he insisted he was not anti-vax.

To quell the unnecessary controversy, on September 13, Hadid posted a photo on her Instagram story of medical staff preparing to give her an injection with the words: "For those who care."

So Bella is fully vaccinated and perfectly healthy; why not join the big fashion events going on?

The answer is: she is busy focusing on her business.

Joining the list of celebrities entering the beverage business, Hadid just announced her role as the new Co-Founder of Kin Euphorics, a non-alcoholic beverage brand. Unlike other popular drinks on the market, Hadid's product has an extremely attractive promise — to help elevate mood and relieve stress in just a few sips. The brand, co-founded by CEO Jen Batchelor, was inspired by a desire to turn social drinking into a conscious act of living healthier.

While being a brand ambassador is nothing new among celebrities, as a co-founder, Hadid takes on an important role within the company. In addition to her own investment, she will help run everything from branding to social initiatives to the formulation. For example, Kin's drink will soon be flavored with lavender grown on the Hadid family farm in Pennsylvania. Hadid isn't content with just being the face of the brand on the outside — she wants to build the brand from the inside, too. “Creativity is my love language,” she said.

Speaking about why she decided to get involved with Kin, Hadid shared:

As many of you know, I have suffered from extreme depression and anxiety for most of my teenage and adult life. Since I was 14, I had tried everything to help myself feel better. After years of social drinking at work event after work event, along with suffering from different immune problems as well, my body started to tell me 'NO.' I wasn’t able to go out anymore with the work schedule I had. My social anxiety was something that slowly crept up on me as I grew into my twenties. It got harder for me to go out without having one drink to calm my nerves, which made me not want to go out at all, so I was just hibernating between jobs.

"With a life that is constantly pushing a social regime, along with working 13 hour days, every single day, I knew this wasn’t a sustainable life for me. So I searched and scoured for anything holistic that would help with my chronic exhaustion, depression, and anxiety. Asking myself and the universe that maybe since I had been so lucky in other aspects of my life, that this low vibration was just where I would have to stay. Until the universe brought me to Jen and Kin!”

Looks like Hadid is still happy and busy with her company. But don't worry, she will definitely return to the catwalk as she recently appeared in Lanvin's latest campaign, modeled for Self-Portrait, and posed for Pop Magazine.

After all the hard work, Hadid really deserves to rest and do what she likes.
