Is Blackpink’s Rosé Really Dating Evan Mock? Everything You Need to Know
It seems that Rosé of Blackpink has a new man in her life, and fans have mixed reactions.
Blackpink’s Rosé may be officially off the market.
Fresh off the heels of her solo debut album, Rosie, Rosé dropped the highly-anticipated video for her single "Toxic Till The End” on December 6. The video, which stars Evan Mock, sparked a frenzy among fans, who were captivated by the music video's storyline and the pair’s undeniable on-screen chemistry, which fueled speculation of a real-life romance. Rosé had started teasing the project two days earlier with an Instagram post styled like a movie poster, followed by a still of her and Mock captioned, “call us what we are.” Even her “Apt.” collaborator Bruno Mars couldn’t resist chiming in, commenting, “Wait a minute. Who Tf is that?”
Gossip Girl star Mock played Rosé’s love interest in the video—a skater with a dyed buzzcut who swept her off her feet. Together, they brought the song’s bittersweet narrative to life, sharing intimate moments like playing chess, falling in love, and even a viral kissing scene that set the internet ablaze. Rosé spoke to the track’s origins during an Apple Music Radio interview, revealing it was inspired by a tumultuous time with her ex. “I would actually look at it and be like, ‘Oh my god, this was when I was going through the worst time of my life,’” she said. “I remember that tour, I had the biggest fight… you know… with the ex. I look so good considering how heartbroken I was.”
Rosé and Mock have kept their personal lives private, but their undeniable on-screen chemistry has only fueled a frenzy of speculation on social media. Last week, controversial celebrity gossip site DeuxMoi fanned the flames by publishing an article claiming the pair is dating. The piece, citing an anonymous source, referred to Mock as her “boyfriend” and insisted they're officially together. While some X (formerly Twitter) users eagerly latched onto the rumor, others were less enthused. Some quote-tweeted the post expressing their disdain with the site and urging followers not to read too much into the claims.
Mock was previously linked to photographer Gray Sorrenti, whom he lived with for a year, according to an interview with Mr. Porter. While Rosé was previously rumored to be with actor Kang Dong-won, her agency, YG Entertainment, swiftly denied he claim. The true identity of the ex remains shrouded in mystery. Without either of the stars' confirmation, it’s worth noting that Rosé recently shared an Instagram carousel featuring the two, and they were recently spotted together in New York City.
