British actor Henry Cavil was born on May 5, 1983, in the English Channel Islands. Making his debut at 18 years old in the 2002 film, The Count of Monte Cristo, Cavill has since had a long and impressive career in Hollywood. Most notably, the actor is known for his role as Superman in the DC Extended Universe (2013-2022). 

Cavill's career took off in 2007 when he landed the role of Charles Brandon in the popular television series The Tudors. He has since starred in a number of critically acclaimed films, including Man of Steel, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and Mission: Impossible - Fallout. He has also become a household name for his portrayal of Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix series The Witcher.

Cavill is not only an accomplished actor but also a talented athlete with a passion for rugby and triathlons. During his youth, he competed in several triathlons and displayed exceptional stamina and endurance. When he was 16 years old, he met Russell Crowe while playing rugby who gave Cavill some acting tips and later sent him a package. Cavill is also a strong advocate for charitable causes, including the Royal Marines Charity and the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust.
