Payne, who died at just 31 after a tragic fall from a third-story hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina, had a net worth in the millions and left behind an estimated $32.3 million. But he passed away without leaving a will in place, per <a href="https://people.com/liam-payne-cheryl-named-administrator-of-his-estate-11730404">court documents</a>, and concerns are now mounting over how his fortune will be managed and distributed.

Tweedy, mother to Payne&rsquo;s eight-year-old son, will oversee the management of his assets alongside a music industry lawyer. However, neither party can distribute the estate just yet.
Payne&rsquo;s&nbsp;<a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2025/05/07/arts/music/liam-payne-estate-will.html" target="_blank" rel="noopener">death</a>, initially clouded by uncertainty, was later clarified by a toxicology report that found a mix of cocaine, alcohol, and antidepressants in his system. Prosecutors concluded that Payne had fallen while unconscious, ruling out suicide. Following further investigation, Argentine authorities charged three individuals with negligent homicide in connection to the case.
