Police Interrupt the Beckham Family's Italian Vacation
Victoria and David Beckham are enjoying their summer getaway on the Amalfi Coast, despite a brief encounter with the local police.
David and Victoria Beckham are making the most of the European summer. The pair took the family on an incredible tour of Italy, but a problem with the local police interrupted their vacation. While hanging out on a yacht docked off the Amalfi Coast, the Italian maritime police boarded the family's boat because the superstar couple's two youngest children—Cruz, 16, and Harper, 10—were riding jet skis without supervision and permission.
The Sun reported that the former football player had to spend about an hour talking to officials to explain the case. Sources said that the police officer explained that the children were too young. According to Italian law, you have to be at least 18 years old to ride a jet ski alone. Luckily, the situation was resolved amicably with the officers even asking for a selfie with David.
It's worth mentioning that sources close to the family say the trip also had another important purpose: to find the perfect wedding location for their oldest son Brooklyn and his fiancée, Nicola Peltz. Due to the pandemic, a date has not been set yet for the big day. The couple decided to wait for things to calm down and are only now beginning to confirm the details of the ceremony.
