Must-See Exhibitions, Events, and More At The Armory Show 2024
From enthralling panel conversations to city-wide installations, The Armory Show is bringing out its very best for its 30th anniversary edition.
Since its inception in 1994, The Armory Show has acted as a hub for artists, collectors, and art aficionados. Throughout the years, the show has served as the opening of the fall art season, and annually draws thousands of visitors to its installations, galleries, exhibitions, and events. On the 30th anniversary of The Armory Show, the turnout is expected to be bigger than ever, as art communities from across the globe gather to celebrate the wealth of innovation, artistic vision, and visual magnificence that the show fosters.
“This year’s programming reflects the vibrancy of the city in which it was founded. From city-wide performances and activations, to complex and diverse discussions, we’re thrilled to provide opportunities for our audience to engage with The Armory Show’s spirit of discovery at the fair and outside the walls of the Javits Center,” said Kyla McMillan, Director of The Armory Show, in a statement.
While New York City is known for its variety of art institutions that hold some of the world's most valuable artworks, ranging from antiquity to Renaissance to impressionism in origin, fairs like The Armory Show offer glimpses into the splendor that contemporary art has to offer, with exhibitions spotlighting new and established artists alike.
Located at the Javits Center in Hudson Yards, The Armory Show 2024 runs from September 6 to September 8, so mark your calendar for a weekend of incredible gallery hopping, exhibition viewings, and ultra-cool events.
