This is How Gigi Hadid Deals with Anxiety

The model recently opened up about pregnancy changed the way she approaches her mental health.

While celebrities historically buried their personal struggles away from the public eye, especially mental health, now more than ever, your favorite stars are speaking openly in an attempt to raise awareness and prove that no one is perfect, even if their Instagram seems to confirm the contrary.

During her pregnancy at the age of 26, Gigi Hadid experienced a number of unpleasant side effects. According to the model, anxiety has become a constant in her life. After all, such a drastic life change is sure to affect one's mindset and mental health. 

Luckily, Hadid found a smart and efficient way to deal with her anxiety. In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, the new mom said she deals with her anxiety through writing in diaries. She explained, "During my pregnancy, I had one journal that I called my good journal and one journal that I called my bad journal. They weren’t that literal, but one was more for the memories, for Khai. Maybe one day I’ll give her the bad journal just to be real about it.”

While Hadid filled her "good journal" with memories, she used the "bad journal" as a place to share her daily anxieties and bad feelings. This exercise is a good way to find balance, as it's not healthy to be 100 percent happy or anxious around the clock. In addition, the model also said that she is a supporter of therapy and throws herself into personal projects as a form of self-care, such as painting or writing.
