The Cannes, Venice, and Toronto film festivals have come and gone, but never fear, cinephiles: another highly anticipated event is quickly approaching on the horizon.&nbsp;

<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/artist-estates-collaborations-story-art-on-fall-winter-2025-runways-fashion" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fall</a> is quickly approaching, and that means one thing for avid movie-goers in the Big Apple&mdash;the New York Film Festival.&nbsp;
Running from Sept. 26 to Oct. 13, this year&rsquo;s lineup features some of the most talked-about films on the festival circuit, including the North American premiere of <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/luca-guadagnino-most-fashionable-films" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Luca Guadagnino</a>&rsquo;s After the Hunt, and Jim Jarmusch&rsquo;s Father Mother Sister Brother, fresh off its Golden Lion win at the <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/fashion/red-carpet-looks-celebrities-at-the-2025-venice-film-festival" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Venice Film Festival</a>.&nbsp;

Founded in 1963, the New York Film Festival has long been a destination for film lovers, rising talent, and acclaimed directors. Unlike many other major film festivals, NYFF sets itself apart by being non-competitive&ndash;there are no prizes or rankings. Instead, the festival prioritizes carefully cultivated programming, blending together international premieres, new independent work, and experimental films from emerging filmmakers.&nbsp;
The festival is divided into five sections, each with their own niche: &ldquo;Main Slate&rdquo; features the core selection, &ldquo;Currents&rdquo; highlights new forms and voices, &ldquo;Spotlight&rdquo; presents the most anticipated releases, and &ldquo;Revivals&rdquo; showcases remastered and restored films. Lastly, the &ldquo;Talks&rdquo; section allows audience members to participate in in-depth Q&amp;As with filmmakers and actors.&nbsp;

Alongside this year&rsquo;s most anticipated selections are <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/method-actors-iconic-roles-in-hollywood" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Daniel Day-Lewis</a>&rsquo;s return to the screen in the family drama Anemone, and Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere, the new Bruce Springsteen biopic starring <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/jeremy-allen-white-girlfriend-dating-history-rosalia" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Jeremy Allen White</a>, a title already generating early Oscars buzz.&nbsp;

Tickets for the 63rd annual New York Film Festival go on sale to the general public on Sept. 18 and range in price from $15 to $35 for individual screenings. Passes are also available for all of the festival's most exciting events, and cost between $200 and $7,500. Tickets are available for sale both online and in person at the Alice Tully box office.
