Barbie Ferreira Comments on 'Euphoria' Drama
The Euphoria actress is speaking out about rumors of disagreements with the show's creator Sam Levinson.
There has been a lot of speculation around Euphoria Season 2 and how the filming was very intense with long hours. With die-hard fans, the show has been a sensation this season. Many actors spoke out mentioning how it was emotionally draining as they were forced to address intense topics. Known for her role as Kat in Euphoria, actress Barbie Ferreira commented on the environment created by Sam Levinson.
Quickly, Ferreira denied the rumors and said that she and the director worked together intensely on the direction of the actress' character. "I've read a lot of different things, and a lot of them aren't true, and it's kind of like mundane little things," she commented to Insider. She attributes the gossip to fans being heavily invested in the cast.
Although HBO has denied the incident, it was reported Ferreira left the set twice in a furious state. “I think the fans are very passionate, and I value that because Euphoria has impacted so many people. Sometimes things take on a life of their own and aren't grounded in the truth, but that's okay, because I know it comes from passion and curiosity and all these good things. And I signed up for it. So I will take the good and the bad," explained the actress.
When asked what she expects for Kat, the actress articulated that she wanted to explore more of the character's "inner fantasy life." "I hope to see her relationship with herself, with the internet, with her friends. (...) I'm excited to read it. I don't think it's written, so I'll be waiting," she concluded.
Regardless of all the drama and curiosity of fans, Euphoria will be back for a third season.
